Just out of curiousity, what type of music do you mainly listen to???
I know I wont be able to list ALL genres ever made, so bear with the poll.

I didn't post to the previous edition of this poll, so I guess I'm obligated.

I've been listening to the Grateful Dead recently. (I generally listen to zeppelin, hendrix, etc.) I guess they fall under rock.

I listen to neo/gothic-rock (and sometimes trance).
So I voted for Rock.

Isn't there a multi selection? :/

I listen to all kind of music. But my main music taste is Techno/Trance, Classical and some Metal.

Rock!!
Pink Floyd!!

Hasn't this thread topic been around a lot? Usually I respond with Pink Floyd, and quote a song, but I'm lazy, so check my signature.

I would have included many more, and possibly even a 'multi' section, but that is as many poll options that were allowed.

I voted Rock but I listen to just about anything as long as it's not classical or rap.

Voted for Metal, as that's the type of music I'm most commited to (I play the guitar). I enjoy other kinds just as well, it depends on the artists.

Found it hard to place a vote because I like so much stuff, but went for Classical seeing as I play violin (classical and gypsy jazz) and classical probably makes up the largest part of my collection.

I also listen to a lot of jazz and if I like chart stuff, listen to that too (I have an Anastasia CD somewhere...). Big fan of Jack Johnson's music - ideal for cruising around in the summer, kayak tied to roof rack, aiming for some random beach!

I'm also in to some of the Corrs stuff and some older things too (Rock & Roll, Simon & Garfunkel, some blues stuff).

Ok - so after admitting all that, do I leave the forums now

Cheers,
Adam

Mostly 80's rock (Van Halen, Def Leopard, Foreigner, Poison, etc..). Some late 70's rock (Styx, etc...). (My opinion) Music went to sh*t when grunge came out.

A few years ago my wife and I were traveling by car. Our normal radio station went out of range, so we started searching for a new one to listen to. We found one playing Def Leopard, so we left it there. When the song ended the DJ announced the station call sign and we learned that we were listening to an "oldies" station. ARGGGHHH!! Damn I feel old.

Without multi-selection, my voting would not really reflect my choice in life.

Depending on mood and occassion, I listen to Heavy Metal, 80'ies Rock, Filk (derivative of Folk music-wise), and Classic.
Every good solution is obvious once you've found it.

When programming (including OS-development) I often listen to scenemusic, and my 600 CDs include rock, (nu-)metal, Bowie, Sting, Kate Bush, Enya, jazz, country, 80s and more.
