should we create an OS development magazine?

All off topic discussions go here. Everything from the funny thing your cat did to your favorite tv shows. Non-programming computer questions are ok too.

A team would be much more efficient and also has a higher survivability percentage. I'd suggest two small divisions, responsible for two seperate branches but can still mingle in the other groups affairs if need be. One group for editing the actual e-zine and one to manage the website/discussion areas. Maybe groups of 3 or 4 would suffice.

The team idea sounds good.

On a side note: What's to be done on the matter of hosting?

hosting can be either done from a team-members computer (self-hosted) or through a site such as x10hosting or frihost.

or as stated before, possible hosted here as a branch.

As far as choosing, that's a toughy =).
I honestly do not know of a good attack method for that.

I'm willing to donate bandwidth on my dedicated server, at least until the bill starts consuming my soul.

Cool, now all that's needed is a name and it's in business.

There's also the matter of what license it is to be under. (FDL? GFDL?)

There was a magazine called "compute", we can call ours "compile!" ?

Or something playing with Open/Operating Source/System ?

Remember, we're not just focusing on osdev, but on low level programming as a whole.
