I can't help being a little amazed over my self here. I actually succeeded in installing debian under windows xp/qemu. To b honest its not very useable as its very slow and laggy. I have tryed several things, even assigning one of my cpu cores for qemu only, but no luck. Anyway, it works now i just need to install win xp under Debian (not qemu debain).
I also tried to install the arm based Debian, but thats a completely different story and i failed, big time.
Anyway, it was kinda fun to do.
Now i know somebody is gonna ask: "why do i need to know this?" and the answer is that you don't, but i had to tell someone.
xp + qemu == debian!
xp + qemu == debian!
This was supposed to be a cool signature...
Re: xp + qemu == debian!
Now try, xp + vmware == debian, and linux + vmware = xp.
you'll notice a speed increase when using a linux host (although this was on a pentuim 4 2ghz, the time i did this, you get a conseriable increase when using this setup on a linux host with multiple cores. Although I haven't tried this with a windows host).
