Using Linux

Post by crazygray1 »

I'm trying to create a multiboot system on that old computer I got. At the moment it has Windows 2000 Proffesional plus:

6GB HD(a little more than 2GB in use)
200Mz Pentium

I was wondering what distro of linux I should use if I want it to run on this thing? :?

Gentoo won't be fun, with that slow cpu.

Use xubuntu if you need a gui. If you dont need a gui debian or the server version from ubuntu will do it.

I tried testing DSL on virtual box with the ISO image but I got an Error.
I thought it was the vdi but when I disabled that I still got an error. I think there's somthing wrong with the image, at least when it's running under VB. :x
