Ok, so I got a new phone, a KRZR... well, I decided I'd try putting some music on it from my computer...so I hooked it to my computer via USB and then it (Vista) said it couldn't find the drivers... I thought it'd jsut be a generic mass storage device, but I went to try to find the "official" drivers and whatnot...
well, I found "USB Drivers" but these weren't for mass-storage, these were for using your phone like a modem...and now everytime I hook my phone up, it says it's a modem rather than an "unknown device" or mass storage device...I have looked for help, but the things I found were apparently for similar, but not the same...there is no "home key" on my phone, and when I goto connectivity, the only USB thing is a "default: USB Drive/Modem Com" it is really starting to make me mad...and I'm not going to go buy their "official" usb cable crap just so I can get the frikkin driver CD...
For my phone (EnV) I bought at microSD card and it came with an adapter to make it into a normal SD card. I then put the music onto the card by using a SD card reader. Alot simpler. If your phone supports bluetooth you could try and use it to transfer music.
