voice over guy

Post by AndrewAPrice »

Who's that guy that always does the voice overs for nearly every single movie trailer?

I've always wanted to put a face to that voice.
My OS is Perception.

Don LaFontaine?

...Hey, his first movie was Dr. Strangelove. Anyone else think that is an awesome movie?

I liked Dr. Strangelove. It was special but interesting.

I cannot help but comment. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb is by far my favourite movie.

I like a great deal of things... all of which are stereotypical of a geek.. lol

The list includes Science fiction films.. Mathematics.. Astronomy...

I just "despise" all science fiction before the late 80's - early 90's, It's considerably boring.

(I also have very little interest in music.. and movies in "other" genres..)

The only thing I really really hate is rap music along with most other music today.
I like good old rock before the 90s replaced it with grunge.
Here then this is mine lol

Dr. Strangelove isn't science fiction. It's a satirical comedy.

Same here. Cream, Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, etc. Good stuff.

You've never seen Dr. Strangelove? How can you say it's a bad movie then?

According to my search, It's from the 60's.. I don't like classical movies.. They're quite pathetic looking.

It's a Stanley Kubrick movie. Do you like any other Stanley Kubrick movies (Full Metal Jacket, Clockwork Orange, etc.)? Don't bother answering about 2001... It's old Sci Fi, so we know you hate it...
Top three reasons why my OS project died:
  1. Too much overtime at work
  2. Got married
  3. My brain got stuck in an infinite loop while trying to design the memory manager
Don't let this happen to you!

Nope, None of the movies listed under his name at Wikipedia I've seen... or would ever consider watching 8)

Although I just noticed an interesting tidbit about the movie A.I..

It was an "interesting" film.. Probably because Steven Spielberg got a hold of it ;)
