..you can spend weeks optimizing your IPC routines, and people say "but all I see is a bunch a numbers." Yet if you make a 3D model in 3DS Max in 10 minutes you get 10x more kudos.

This is so true, i have done 5 years work on my main OS, but as a bit of fun, i did a 2k dos clone which took about 3 days work and more people use or try the Dos clone, because it can play there old Dos games :cry: .
I am so busy, getting the basic functions implemented, i have little time for codint apps or fancy graphic demos.
