Need some help in OS developing
Hi,
I've been developing my OS for almost 3 years. Today due lack of time I need someone who can cooprate with me by writing GUI and third-part things, such as libraries and applications. The kernel part is done in 60%, that means you can execute applications with shared libraries, vfs is done, ext2 support is implemented, svga driver is done, ata/atapi done, simple graphics server is also done. I'm interested only in people who knows os developing well, and who knows what to do. Please, do not replay if you always wondering about os developing but you are not a programmers, etc..
Please post here or drop a mail at reqst[ at ]o2[ dot ]pl
Old project website (not updated for long time): http://netos.freehostia.com/
Regards
Greg

Be advised, your chances of getting a crew are slim:
- You are requesting the better people, which are rather few in numbers anyway
- We do not suddenly get motivated from a 2" text description.
I.e. you will have to show off your 3 years of work if you want to get people interested. We need a reason to work on your project instead of ours.

His might be OK or better. It looks to have quite a many of the basic features of a modern kernel. It appeared to compile although I did not load and test it, since I am busy doing something else at the moment.
I have little interest in writing those things, but maybe other people here who do like to do such things instead of writing a kernel might be more interested in seeing if the kernel actually compiles and provides the features needed to do such stuff.

I just tested the livecd but it got to "System Running" after which it did pretty much nothing (Microsoft VirtualPC). That's pretty much a showstopper for me.
The screenshots are nice though the GUI seems strangely familiar...
I'll look at the sources (and hopefully, documentation) later

When you see 'system running' go through virtual consoles by F1-F8 keys. Don't look for documentation, 'cause i'm developing os alone and i don't have time for documentation for now, i even dont have time for coding man;)
Btw. I dont say you guys to abbadon yours projects and join me. Your projects are as well good as mine, even much better. I'm focused on people who do not have their own projects, because they dont have time for whole kernel, apps stuff but they want to code. I just asked for some help, imho there is no need to comment it.
