Ok... I am a bit confused. What actually makes a FAT filesystem, a FAT filesystem? Is it the BPB? Because that just doesn't seem right to me. How would I make a FAT filesystem on the same floppy as my bootloader? Would I create a FAT filesystem on the floppy first, and then write the bootloader to the bootsector with the BPB?! Any help appreciated, thanks :)

Ahhhh think I have sorted it :) Write the FAT filesystem to the disk, then overwrite the bootsector, with my bootcode including the BPB :)

The 'Operating System Resource Center' (see quicklinkz) comes with full description of the FAT filesystem. Make sure you get them :)
