Has anybody here had any success compiling the Linux 0.0.1 source code? Can it be compiled on a modern linux distribution? Thanks.

i would say it will not compile with gcc 3.x toolchain

You should use the compiler that Linus originally used, which I believe is the Minix compiler.

You need the old Minix toolchain, plus an old style Minix formatted partition.
