If I were you, I'd rather go for developing something to start with in silence *before* announcing it to the net citizens (thx to solar for this nice word). Mark: silent waters are deep.

Take an example: clicker.sf.net or mobius.sf.net or www.visopsys.org ... not to mention www.skyos.org, www.atheos.cx (been, unfortunately, it is off the web - Oh, Kurt, whither goest thou?), syllable.sf.net.

For suggestion: If you absolutely feel to go public in early planning/research stage, please at least give a proposal, plan, abstract or what so ever, so people have something to look at. A more or less empty web with just a few sentences and a very plain hint to come and help is rather discouraging. It just looks like 'Oh, Yet Another Noob Web (tm)' Not like 'Ah, OS design ... Oh, Gosh A'mighty, that guy has balls'. Know what I mean?

1. avoid the 25%-wide ad bar that covers your text (ah?? it has a small close button ... sorry)
2. use fonts that can be read .
3. use color for links and black for plain text, not the opposite (unless you're used to click with the bottom-right corner of your cursor)
4. provide content
5. '1.0' is supposed to be 'the first world-wide intended-audience release' -- in other words, if your intended audience is 'geek users that will not fear a command line', do not tag a version with 1.0 until the command line alone is sufficient ... anything targetted at beta-tester rather than at 'geek users...' should be 0.x
6. check your links (the 'DPxxxx' chip link goes to 404)
