i guess for most of the parts, you can use DJGPP to compile it, but the problem will be that ./configure will probably not work. (this is the program used to produce makefiles)
the best solution might be to install a small Linux distribution in a single FAT32 file (i think of
http://www.slackware.com/zipslack/) so that you get a linux box running in a legacy Windows environment without touching the partition table, or whatever.

pay for what ? try to find something else yourself. i'm not a slave or whatever kind of seekbot. i think you're completely off the spirit of this forum, mr nuno-silva, and if the forum was mine you'd be banned for such a response.

btw, maybe you'd be pleased to learn that it only took me 30 seconds to get a download link to zipslack from the page i gave you, and not using a single cent.

I'd like to point out to Mr. nuno_silva_pt that this board is not a web page where you get magical free answers, but a portal where real people read your questions and occasionally post answers.
You are less likely to get answers if you:
1) repeatedly post open-ended questions
2) post questions whose answers are easily obtainable from Google
3) post questions, receive answers, ignore the answers, then post more questions

first, zipslack is available for free, nuno_silva. Please be so kind and don't piss on peoples back and tell'em it's raining. This makes 'em think you are sorta filthy little weasel. In short words: this is not sound behaviour.
You find zipslack btw on gd.tuwien.co.at or many other mirrors. I've found it, as pype has said, as quick as a spark.
You should have read the text of the webpage more carefully. there stands nothing about paying.
@pype'n'tim: sorry for rude use of language, but sometimes, I canna be just patient and nice. This stuff is so easy to be found on internet if just one is WILLING to research and read what stands written. And of course it would have been better if i just held my trap.

I stoped going to this forum for two months (because of school) and I remember this dude. He's been asking these retarded questions since I left. I'm glad he'll never come back to us "floks" ever again.

no, Mr. Nuno ... we will *not* tell you where the link is. i don't even smile saying this: i just think it's time for you to learn flying with your own wings... You wanna be an OS-developer and you're not even able to follow three link and find a package to install ?? are you kidding ?
i really wonder what you'll do with the 34MB archive you'll eventually find on an ftp mirror (according to Slackware info, it's located in the subdirectory "zipslack" in "slackware", but you don't have to download the whole slackware distro to get it ...) ...
There is a sentence for guys like you:
RTFM.

What is disturbing me is Mr. Nuno-silvas permanent tendency to take the piss out of us. Just one example: look at his sentence about never ANSWERING to us "floks" again.
I am usually not THAT rude in an open place, but, oh gosh, gee, I wouldna stand under any circumstances a commanding word like he uses immediately after pleading for not beeing kicked outta there. It drives me really crazy for sometimes it is really hard not to take such impertinency as Mr. Nuno_Silva's personally. I canna even take his plea for serious.
Well, stop ranting, tom, it is not good beeing in a bad mood like this on a sunny morning...
