Anyone tried to install Mandrake onto an emulated hard-drive? I tried, but it stops at Hard drive detection. Do I need to wait longer or did it just freeze.

What's the point of such a thing ? Can't you just install Mandrake on your *real* system ?

Good point, but it is like saying, "Why rent a car when you can buy one." It may not make any sense, but I don't want to put my real system in risk so I am going to try to emulate it. I am going to be testing programs, and you don't know what can happen. I just need to know if anyone was able to install it.

If you just need a Linux emultation (without Mandrake or KDE or whatever) I think you can download preinstalled images from the bochs site bochs.sf.net

Hope this helps
