I have nearly conkered getting at windows favourites properly,
having to program COM and MFC. I will probably flesh it out to
a proper favorites manager applet. Anyway very near to getting
you the data in the format described.

The osdev.org message board looks hotter than alt.os.dev !
The sort of things that were going on, on that a year ago !
