Hello all

There is a new operating system in development at the moment, that is set to be released early 2004. The operating system is called Commander, and will be a command line and GUI based system (hence the name Commander).

yes I wanted this since I was 10... and thats 7 years.. and worked on it then the gui disapared cuz my bro erased it

GUI with a command line intergrated? Hmmm... My idea as well, although mine will be called CTOS Console. I'll have an area with messages that you can scroll up/down, and an area to type commands... similar to a chatroom, except for the "Users online" section...

Perhaps this is just an effective way of doing things? Somethings in DOS you cannot do in Windows unless you go to Start:Run... Consoles are good, GUIs are better, GUIs with consoles? Good and useful!
