Does anyone have any good document or direct informations about ATAPI. Like how to send commands, etc... I have searched around the web, but can't find anything good...

I think you could try:

But, I personally don't know anything about it...yet. I'm not there in my OS dev...

Nevermind, that link doesn't work. I thought I saw a good source on ATAPI, though. I'll continue looking and reply if I find it...

The Advanced Technology Attachment Packet Interface is the standard defined for interfacing devices other than hard disk drives (CD-ROM drives, tape drives, ZIP drives, etc.) through an IDE connector. It is also referred to as the ATA standard; the 'AT' part comes from the original name of the IBM AT (which also stood for 'Advanced Technology', which it supposely was in it's heyday).
