Using NTVDM instead of Bochs/VMWare

I was wondering about the feesibility of using NT's DOS emulation (NTVDM) to develop a kernel. ?It starts you in real mode and appears to at least to some extent support poking right into memory since it can play several DOS games. ?It seems a lot more convenient than messing with Bochs disk images, config files, etc.

WHAT?? ::)
you are way back in the bushes....
first of all NT emulation is in fact what we call V86 mode
or virtual 8086 mode
THAT is not REAL MODE and you won't be able to mess with the GDT nor the IDT or NT emu will stop you from doing it
