Anybody interested in helping me make a web site that will focus on common OS Dev problems and on little things that you normaly wouldn't need for an every day program(like GDTs).

Most of the info will be got from alt.os.development archives(like the one at Google), the OS Dev message board, and anything that somepne submits that I(and/or the other people incharge of this) okays.

Yep I'm using HTML since it what is used on the web and since I know it fairly well. :) Right now I'm trying to find a good free web host. Hopefully the site will be started by the end of next week. :)

Also, anyone can help if they have written or know of a good doc or tutorial or something that they think ought to be on the site when it's up.

I myself am looking for a good free webhost. There are a few directories of free webhosts. My fav is clickherefree [www.clickherefree.com]. It sounds like an ad, but it's actually the best I've used. 8)

Y I asked if you were using HTML was because most pages nowadays are made from "templates", or whatever your particular calls fill-in-the blank pages. ::)

Yep, it does sound like an ad(apparently my popup stopper thought so too) and it's the best that I've seen. I just registered for free webspace and It's supposed to be availble in 1-15 days. The link is(it's not there yet though):

http://osdev.mega.net.kg

Now I just need to decide on a name ;), anyone have an idea?

Also I need links to put on it. If anyone has one please send it to me at [email protected]

I decided to have 2 sites, both a mirror of the other, so far one is ready(I'll upload some more stuff to it by the end of the week, I'm still working on the look of the site):

http://osanswers.port5.com/

And I still need a name!

What's Bona Fide mean?
Um...lemme look it up in the dictionary...here's a copy of the text:
bona fide \"bo-ne-'fid, "ba-; 'bo-ne-"fi-de, -de\ adj [L, in good faith] 1 : made in good faith <a bona fide agreement> 2 : genuine, real <a bona fide bargain>
(c)2000 Zane Publishing, Inc. and Merriam-Webster, Incorporated.  All rights reserved.
(I didn't add the (c) thing, it did it itself...)

Take a look at www.gamedev.net and www.flipcode.com! They are for game development what would be need for os development!!! Learn from their structure, it is good!

I could help a little bit, too, just send me an email to [email protected]!

I totally agree about gamedev, they have an easy to navigate site and it doesn't take forever to load.

I've pretty much given up on osdev.mega.kg.net, still nothing there. :( So instead I'm going to have my second site(both will be exactly the same) at http://osdev2.port5.com

If you are interested in helping me with a site logo or layout/design, email it to me at [email protected] and If yours is the best I'll use it on my site and you'll get credit on the main page for designing the logo or layout/design(I'll put some info on this on my site as soon as possible, rules, regulations, etc)

Well, I can't help you with the actual design of the logo, ;) but I can point you to a (shareware:'() program: Ulead's GIF animator. No, you don't actually have to create a un-animated GIF. You can see some of the stuff on my (never-been-updated-doesn't-have-anything-site) http://www.geocities.com/homegrownhtml
