some links on the forum don't work anymore because the page they reference doesn't exist anymore. I noticed this with the specification link of the DeviceTree-article (https://wiki.osdev.org/Devicetree), which should point to this GitHub-repository: https://github.com/devicetree-org/devic ... /releases/.
Other links which don't work are on the pages:
Raspberry Pi Barebones
- PrimeCell UART (PL011) Technical Reference Manual
It should be: https://developer.arm.com/documentation/ddi0183/latest/ - BCM2837 ARM Peripherals
It should be one of: - Note: The Raspberry Pi 3 isn't the newest one; maybe it'd be good to update this to "Raspberry Pi 5B".
- PE Specification: latest edition, OOXML format (loads forever)
- PE Specification: 1999 edition, DOC format
- http://perso.wanadoo.fr/pierrelib/exec_ ... _v1.0.html (Domain no longer exists)
- http://perso.wanadoo.fr/pierrelib/exec_ ... _v1.1.html (Domain no longer exists)
- http://gitorious.org/unix-stuff/fat-util - Utility to read, remove and extract files on FAT12, 16 and 32
(their server is doing funky stuff - at least for me) - Note: Wikipedia has an excellent article on the FAT filesystems. Maybe it could be linked on that page.
- The Linux NTFS project (links to tuxera)
- NTFS-3G Read/Write Drivers For Linux/FreeBSD/BeOS (links to tuxera)
- Apple Open Source NTFS site (was removed, but it's Apple anyways)
- USB.org (the link contains the /home - path element; it redirects to usb.org (without /home))
- Universal Serial Bus Revision 3.2 Specification (The link was updated usb.org's end)
- Wireless USB Specification Revision 1.1 (The page was removed, which makes sense)
- USB Made Simple (doesn't exist anymore; domain squatting is being exercised)
I just wanted to write that stuff down here because of my (for a good reason) lacking modification permissions. Please don't take this offensively; I just want to give back to the osdev.org - wiki because it has helped me lots. Keep up the good work!
