Too much CAPTCHA
Too much CAPTCHA
Lately the website has been demanding me to prove being a human every day. This isn't nice.
Re: Too much CAPTCHA
Same here, but I don't have to solve a CAPTCHA, merely click a checkbox. It's weird, but not too annoying.
Carpe diem!

Re: Too much CAPTCHA
I noticed the same, and have to re-login after that. I would consider it rather annoying.
Re: Too much CAPTCHA
Hi guys,
I think there was a recent change in either the osdev.org side or the browser side.
The past few days I couldn't even reach the site due to the captcha constantly looping looking for a human.
Come to find out, the past how many years (20?) I was using "http://forum.....", and now simply adding the 's' to make it secure, fixed the issue.
If you are using "http://forum.....", change your bookmark to "https://forum....." and the captcha will now work.
Mine doesn't even require me to click on a button. It just shows it's looking for a human and then goes directly to the site without user intervention.

Re: Too much CAPTCHA
Requests to the site spike into the millions per day from Brazil ip addresses this week. The server CPU which I already doubled was maxed out and the site was unresponsive.
I turned on all the other bot fight options and it wasn't helping, the annoying captcha was the only thing that would tamper down the traffic enough.
I'm going to try turning it back off but its possible I might have to re-enable it from time to time.

Re: Too much CAPTCHA
Thanks for the explanation! Good to know that it is a purposeful "necessary evil"
