How much bandwidth does everyone here use? (At least those that can measure bandwidth)

My webhost provides me with 1 gig/month, I've been told that it's not much. I've also already used 7mb this month! I want to upload fan made AGI & SCI games to my site so that people can download them. I'm just afraid that my bandwidth will shoot up.

Any advice?

I use about 1 or 2 GB a month on my site www.agigames.com and my limit is 10GB.

If you don't mind my asking, approx. how much do you pay for that limit and the space?

well, we are 9 days into the month, and my _projected_ usage is 4gig.

Web traffic so far this month: 895 MB
Ftp traffic so far this month: 55 MB
Total traffic so far this month: 950 MB
Projection for whole month: 3987 MB

Mail traffic so far this month: 713 emails
Projection for whole month: 2674 emails

I'm not sure how they work it out... must be a bit of fudging and rounding...

Well your hosted by tripod so you really don't have to worry about it(they give you unlimited bandwidth).

Bandwidth is like a data transfer limit. For instance if my bandwidth for my site exceeds the max for a month the site will be shut down and display a message saying the site has used all it's bandwidth up. The message will remain there until the end of the month. Luckily my site only uses 1GB or 2GB out of the 10GB I am allowed for each month.

Besides if I didn't stop people more and more people would do it.

I have a 100 mb of bandwidth considering Im using www.portland.co.uk for my website host. I have a mere 15 mb for file uploads for my ftp server.

H L Y CRAP! 4 gigs!? Okay, I've decided that my webhost just doesn't have enough space. I want to put up SCI Studio, AGI Studio, and games for both plus about 10 or so MP3's. All of that will easily push me to 1 gig (which is my limit >:() once the downloading starts. So, I've GOT to ask...Chris and df, where do you host your sites? As of right now I'm thinking about getting another host just to store the files on and linking to it from my current site. The cost of this is all starting to build up...but, when I start selling my CD on my website I will be forced to deal with it...so, I might as well deal with it now. Also, df...how much of that traffic do you suppose comes from this message board? Thanks for the info guys.

My word! Isn't 4 GIGS HUGE? For a web site? ( I don't know web stuff, a C/C++ programmer )
