i want to reload the GDTR after switching to PM for some design issue..
i have tried to do so by copying the descriptors in the old table into the new one just before the LGDT instruction to ensure that the current CS and DS values will remain valid after reload...however my OS crashes.
is this a valid method? has anybody tried this before?
