802.11 needs updating

Post by mofule »

Sup.

The 802.11 page needs updating. 802.11n is not the latest. I think we should include an 802.11ac section. We need to add more to it. I have added the 802.11ac section but it may require some editing.

The value of this page is strongly questionable. It should at least give an overview of the 802.11 stack and on what a driver for a wireless network adapter conceptually needs to do. In its current state, the page does not improve over wikipedia if you want to drive a wireless stack. Compare that to the much better USB page that actually gives a good overview over a topic with similar complexity (?). It doesn't need to be as detailed as the USB page but there should be something.
