Question about which tools to use, bugs, the best way to implement a function, etc should go here. Don't forget to see if your question is answered in the wiki first! When in doubt post here.

How to kill a successful OS project

Post by chase »

Charles Hannum, on of the founders of NetBSD, writes about what has gone wrong with NetBSD in this mailing list post http://mail-index.netbsd.org/netbsd-use ... /0016.html. Long and short of the article is that Linux is working because of Linus and NetBSD failed because there was no strong leadership. Things to keep in mind if your operating system project ever takes off.
