Floppy disk question - What's a filler byte?

Post by ComputerPsi »

It seems the floppy disk parameter table has a "filler byte". What is this for? How can it be used?
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

a filler btye is a byte used to fill unused or reserved space. eg, in the number 0300 the first number is a filler byte cause it's not used now, but will in future. That's the general concept. For the floppy, i don't know, but this gen concept must apply to it ( i think so :D )
