Intel Atom 330 Power States

Hi all,

I have an Intel Atom 330 processor and I am trying to figure out the power saving states of the processor when ACPI is on and when it is off. The processor datasheet mentions that the CPU has 2 C-states (C0 and C1), where the C1 state has 2 sub C states (C1/AutoHALT and C1/MWAIT). I guess that these are the default power states of the system regardless of whether ACPI is used or not. Now, does anyone know what's the difference in the operation of these states when ACPI is turned on and vice versa?
