Root Directory

Hellow,

where on the diskette (Fat 12) can I find the root directory
I thougt: bootsector + fat1 + fat 2 = 19 clusters = 19 sectors =
head 1
track 0
cluster 2
counts for 14 sectors
but that doesnt seem to do...

where is it?

Don't try to calculate it by hand, use the fat header.
(sectors_per_fat * number_of_fats) + reserved_sectors = first sector of root directory

and the as ChZ says you can use a lbatochs, chstolba to do that as easy as reading a small childĀ“s book! :-) if you want i was doing that with pascal BP7 with(ou) tasm ! just ask me ! [email protected]
