Differences between "FreeDOS" and "MS-DOS"

I am curious about freedos and recently started doing some research on it but still have yet to locate the main differences form MS-DOS, can somebody tell me???

From their website:

"FreeDOS aims to be a complete, free, 100% MS-DOS compatible operating system."

In actual fact, they obviously are not quite there.  However, from the perspective of software interfaces, they seem to intent to have no major differences.  Last I installed it, FAT32 was still in a very early state, etc...

I used freedos dos for a bootable m3p player,bootable dos games with builtin menu etc.
If i put these on the net with MSdos i would get a call from the cyber police.
