hi friends,

I am currently concentrating on pci devices. I didn't get the official documentation ( pci sig gives it to registered companies only :-{ ). Though I have read the freely available pcibios.pdf I still cann't figure out the concept of bus, device number and function numbers.

Can you help me as to how a function is interpreted by the pci device. And if so how to use those functions?

Thanking you
Gandalf

Well gandalf, today is your lucky day.
Because on my site just happens to be, all the official pci bus spec pdfs that i found on another site and downloaded (although i cant re-find that site again to thank the author on my site :/, if anybody finds or knows what it probably is, do tell).

http://www.acos.34sp.com/docs/groups/it ... a=hardware

If think the doc you should be most interested in is the pci bios pdf.

Enjoy.
Moose.
