can somebody give me some sort of os or code for an os wich i can't mess up? becouse i tried to use PCLinuxOS Minime but eh...it didn't end up well and i don't like to go back to win XP...bcs i really want to build or assemble my own small os, it doens'nt have to be spectacuar...just sth that i can't mess up

Also search www.linux.org for small distros.

If you are familiar with XP, it may be best simply to use Cygwin with that if you are planning on building your own OS. Alternatively, you could always try several small distros on VM's first.
