[PDA] Using HaRET to boot custom OS
Posted: Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:22 am
Hello!
I've been getting interested in non-x86 osdev for a while now and I recently got my hands on an Acer n50 and ran Linux using HaRET.
As I understand it's basically a windows-mobile based bootloader, which prepares the hardware and loads a linux + rd image to RAM and jumps to it.
Has anyone ever tried HaRET to boot a hobby OS instead of Linux or played with the source? Because I've spent a couple of days staring at it and I just can't find where the stuff gets done
Any other info on HaRET or any other windows-mobile-based bootloaders(I don't want to mess with ROM, if it's even posible) is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
rJah
