Hello all.
At http://www.dridus.com/~nyef/angel/ is a tarball with the sources to my current OS. It is a stand-alone non-ANS Forth type system for x86 PCs.
You will need NASM to build this.
The Makefile is set up for *nix users. DOS/Windows people will probably have to get creative with partcopy to build the image file.
