Getting my Bootsector on a USB Drive

Up until now i've been using a virtual floppy drive and using partcopy to get my bootsector on the virtual drive so i can emulate my OS in bochs. However when i went to enrol at college 2 days ago they gave me a free 128MB USB stick and i would like to use that to boot my OS from as i've never tried my OS outside of bochs. Unfortunatly i cannot use a real floppy drive as my pc did not come with one installed and the cheap usb one i bought from ebay broke after about a weeks use .
I have booted an OS from a USB stick before on this machine so i know the machine is compatible before you ask (i don't remember how i did it ). I have looked through partcopies readme file but none of the commands seem to work.
Anyone know how to get partcopy to do this or any other programs that can do the job?
