64 linux?

is it possible to get a 64bit version of the first linux kernel? if so, can you point me too it?

Linux 0.01 was released in 1993 for the 80386 processor, I don't think anyone ever ported it to 64bit.

Newer Linux kernels support 64bit though, Lots of 64bit distributions.. The kernel itself from kernel.org can be compiled for AMD64 or Intel 64 (formerly known as EM64T, IA-32e) obviously.

OpenBSD has an AMD64 port :wink:
