i'm planning in building a virtual DVD drive for windows. I
tried googling about formats, virtual drives etc...I just
cant figure how to start somthing like this. The biggest
i've done is basic applications handling a lot of database
and stuff...I'm totally new to this idea?? Could you please
help, as to what and how i should begin. Thanks in advance.

You need DDK (driver develpment kit) for Windows, it's free and you can get it from microsoft.com. Documentation is available at msdn.microsoft.com... so begin your quest from there.

what is the DDK and WDK? are they both similar?
