How to port to an ARM cpu

Post by earlz »

I want to 'partially' port my OS to ARM just as a learning type thing.. I don't want to use a gameboy advance though as it is too limited and such.. so is their a arm device emulator.. be nice if the device was not severely limited.... I have never really used any arm device so i have no idea whats a good device to dev for

depending on what you consider "too limited" in the gameboy advance, i'd suggest considering the nintendo DS (with WiFi capabilities, touchscreen and the like, you almost have a PDA :P) or the sharp zaurus (networking will require extra hardware).

If what you find missing in GBA is the MMU, forget about the DS (it hasn't any either)... The GP2X seems to have one...
