I've heard some rumors here and there that multitasking in widows is inferior to others.
If Windows multitasking sucks why, what is the difference?
Multitasking in Windows combared with others
RE:Multitasking in Windows combared with others
From my understanding I know that it used to suck.
Back with Windows 3.X I don't think you had true preemptive multitasking. You had some time slicing and threads giving up execution when they felt like it(cooperative multitasking). With Windows 9X you had true preemptive multitasking but 9x still had a lot of carry over from 3.X so you actually ended up with the old threading model supported too.
2000/XP should fully support preemptive multitasking now.
