You know, French people tend to be a bit anglophobic on average... :-\
And my French isn't good enough to even consider the possibility...

Well, most talks appear to be in french, but this depends of the talker
@Solar : Really depends on the place where you lend. Here in Nancy (Vandoeuvre being a part of it), they're many students and the meeting is hosted by the science university, and I can promise most of the people will be happy to speak english
