Wiki issue?

On the latest Diff for BabyStep4 and GDTForDummies I'm getting the following error messge:
[pre]lib/WikiDB.php:729: Fatal[ 0]: <br />/home/www/mega-tokyo/osfaq2/lib/WikiDB.php:729: : Assertion failed <br />[/pre]
I would put it down to reverting to the old copy, but these edits are more recent than that AFAIK, possible conflict with it still having some record of the old edit and getting confused?
(The extra space before the 0 in the square brackets is by me, "pre" tags still allow the forum software to do interpretation of other tags apparently)

Just consider the FAQ broken for now. (I tried to upload my backup to get rid of the spam, and PhpWiki choked on it.)
We'll figure it out in one or two days.

Ah, kk. Just thought I'd mention it just in case.

df kindly provided me with the necessary passwords. I'll fix things tomorrow morning. (Gotta celebrate Germany's second win at the World Championship tonight. ;D )

Things are 95% done, but I'd either have to hasten things (I never do that when working on someone else's server) or cancel a BBQ date with some very good friends of ours... I'll complete this in the evening.
Be prepared for some jolly changes... the Wiki version we were using was ~3 years old, and we missed all the nice things developed in the meantime: limited number of external links per edit, edits requiring a username being given, marking external links so they won't be followed by Google bots, (optional) user passwords so no-one could disguise himself as somebody else, bulk-deletion of pages, functional backup / restore... I think the bad spammed times are over.

While we're on the subject, I don't suppose you could paste the part of the config file relevant to enforcing passwords for users in order to edit? My attempts on a wiki I'm attempting to set up have succeeded in giving two results:
- Anyone can edit anything without authentication
- Only the admin account can edit anything (occasionally even as far as only the admin account can even view the wiki), and no-one can create an account

I'm using PhpWiki 1.3.12p2, which has a rather well-documented config.ini. As for how well it works... I've just returned from the BBQ and will test this now.

I was just as unsuccessful at getting the user authentication to work. Well, the Wiki is updated, everything but the last edit to GdtForDummies and BabyStep4 has been salvaged, and if things break legendarily the old Wiki is still there as fallback (but disabled for now).
I'm thinking about a couple of improvements for the near future if df lets me, but for now I'm off to bed. Have fun.
PS: There had been PHP "notice" warnings about variable references. These are due to a known bug in the Zend Optimizer - I hacked the Wiki source to suppress them.
