FAT boot sector

hello, ok i'm thinking about making my OS floppy disk able to have files copy/pasted on to it. but i dont now what is needed by the boot sector or the disk root dir to let windows xp see it ??? any recomended docs?, thx

For use in windows your bootsector must support FAT12, which means that you must provide a FAT12 header in the bootsector and load your file via FAT12 rules..
