ReiserFS Documentation

Hi

I was looking on the ReiserFS website for any programming documentation, or at least a spec on how, out of interest, the ResierFS filesystem would be implemented into a hobby OS (when I get that far, I'd quite like to use ReiserFS for it). I couldn't find any.

Is there any programmers documentation, or would I have to resort to looking at (and possibly modifying) the source destined for the linux kernel?

thanks
srg

You can try this, as far as I am aware the only official stuff is all for Linux.

Thanks, the official website has lots on how to use it in linux, but not the low level details of it's implementation. This should help.

i found some documentation about it on namesys website. Quite a bit "high-level" to my taste (but definitely good to pick if your very new to FS design)

I quite like their plugin system and i at last have my dream of stored_object=file && directory.

I've e-mailed Hans Reiser asking if there is any implementation documentation for people writting other operating systems including us hobby os developers.

I got a reply, The only documentation are the website and the source code.

BTW It appears that your OS had to be GPL'ed as well (mine shall be).
