Mind you, the age is relevant in one importance sense: support sunsetting. Support for phpBB 3.1.x ended on 31 January of this year, and I am quite sure that we're using something even older.

Chrome keeps reporting this page as highly unsafe. When I want to log in, it asks me if I am sure. :| I think this site should get updated with some fresh "https" protocols. Security is the first priority. Also there should be an option for users to import their own themes (locally).

Well, https means upgrading hosting (and it's probably an ancient apache2)

It could be nice to move from phpBB to SMF of course, but i am dreaming.

What useful things can SMF do that phpBB can't?

Better security (at least no notorious vulnerability history as phpBB has), plugins/mods.

But I really don't care if this forum gets hacked or some functionality is missing, so it's not a strong opinion.
