I dont even understand where 10 people 10 jobs thing came from

most programers and/or graphics artists are used to haveing many programs running even in the old DOS days they had a multitude of TSS running but as computers got multi-tasking capabilities they started running full programs thats much easier

for me i usually have 20-30 web browsers open at any given time and usually a game or two for while all browsers are loading and none are done (or just for a break) I also often have mutiple notepads and K++ and explorer and yahooIM and thats just  whats running right now

thats why i started hibernating my computer since its so much easier than reloading all my programs and pages every time I reboot

although tecnicly all browsers run in a single prosess (for some reason - I wish they didnt) i still have many programs running and this is when im not running my dev tools or listning to music( what u want to do nothing while listning?) 2 explorer windows if im cleaning my drive

do you need more examples?

Thanks,

Actually we do have a GUI not sure if you saw the screen shots... Actually I do not have any screen shots with the WM running correctly as we are working on a new MPI. However on a good note since the birth of this thread I did gain one developer... who of course gave up on his own project.

But we have great things planned to come over the next few months actually we want to have a polished demo ready for August 1.

Back to the GUI thing I think thats where our strong point is I would say the closest existing GUI out there apple has in OSX but the GUI is actually built on a graphics library thats been around and advanced for 6 years I'm not sure if you heard of objgfx or framework but thats where its from..

20-30 web browsers?  And you're running Windows?  Unless you have some virtual desktop plug-in, I pity you!  (Well, XP now has taskbar icon grouping, but still...)

I would say no, unless there is K++ for Windows

Well, I don't know, but JAAman mentioned notepad, explorer, and hibernating, which I've never seen on linux (except for notepad, running under wine :)...

Speaking of hibernating I should take that into consideration with my APM features...... Though I should really start to clean up my code base it is all over the place...

ya im running WIN-XP but the first thing I do is disable grouping - I hate it!!

but I just switched to mozilla -- its tab interface is somthing I'll have to adjust to but with many windows its worse since the tabs simply disapear and you cant access them

its really not that bad running so many programs at once

K++ - there may be some confusion -- Im refering to the illegal hack of Kazaa

Hi Christopher

Can you not use some opensource projects to compile for your OS? Making (implementing) a C compiler (if you don't have one) for your OS would probobly move things on better. Or..?

Goran,

I've tested it under the BSD's and Linux... and I have planned to port GCC over.
