Yuck - writes to the fast A20 port. Have you made sure this also works on computers that do *not* support fast A20?
There are PC without FastA20, also you can disable it, your PC may not be x86 PC, may be too old and a thousand of posibilities. I assume that normal modern PC has this option (my computer is not so modern). So nothing to lose to try first fast A20 and then slow KB port. No one wants to buy a new PC and because of "compability" to not run new features.

to reboot, press ctrl alt del or push the reset button.
