True, I'm in UK, but I don't want to write code which has troubles being used (or rather modified and distributed, since thats where the problems would lie) on the other side of the pond.

A product is what we Germans would call "Gesamtkunstwerk" - a product of art where all parts are important. A car with 500 PS, 8 seats and a fuel consumption of one glass of water per 100 km wouldn't make people too happy if the only way to control it would be voice recognition in Kantonese, if you get my drift.
