I got a link: http://www.google.com.

You'll need to use DMA (iirc) to get the data into the sound device's buffers.
ne1 got codes or links for me
Please, use English. Don't type shorthand.

Can I ask you what sort of basic sound do you want (i.e PC speaker, or sound card speaker).

 Anyone else notice "everyone" posts such "generic" questions.. They never go into any detail with their posts.

It's just embarrassing :P.. Sound in your kernel? You want hide a little song?

And seriously, The "teen" slang must stop.. "ne1"?.. (Did you mean the ne1000..)

And what "codes or links" should we post? The specifications for this mysterious "basic" sound card?..

Your initial post was open to interpretation...

That's like:

How do I start an OS? I know JavaScript and some VB and I've already made the start menu graphics.

Yet you do nothing about preventing them. Now I know that the FAQ thread was de-stickied for a new one to be made after the wiki move was complete, but I think there's enough to start with it already. The smart questions URL on top.

In the meantime could you stop playing Monty Python's "Argument". thats so demotivating for newcomers.

I thankfully have never seen "Monty Python".. And "demotivating" isn't a word ;)

(The link to a flash player isn't exactly any helpful either, I'm using OpenBSD )

Starting arguments again..

@Brynet-Inc:
Its just a joke in the video. Has no real application to what you did.

1. How is he supposed to prevent them?

I got an idea.. they might read through some of the question on this board to determine what type of audience they are about to talk to which is in correct accordance to the "Smart Questions" and see Brynet-Inc and think maybe I should actually put some effort into this before posting or the alternative (Brynet-Inc).
Combuster wrote: Now I know that the FAQ thread was de-stickied for a new one to be made after the wiki move was complete, but I think there's enough to start with it already.
2. I noticed a red colored "Sound" section.

- - So I assume there is no general sound resource point to 'point him too'.
- - And the resource you pointed him to was Sound Blaster which is out of you own kind doing and I do not think he should be blamed or else you should just blame everyone on the entire forum for not posting quick enough with that sound blaster link. And I know you meant write it, but how about you write it?
The smart questions URL on top.
3. If you read it... (and read the first post then did some analytical work).

And unfortunately if he read it there would also be a section just for him (and me in many circumstances) right at the end. IMHO I think that last section has a lower priority to the major first part of the document. :D

You got pwned -*o*b***e*-!

I think you misunderstood my post

1: People who have not read "smart questions" will also not search a forum before posting.
Besides, the real accusation i made was that brynet-inc complains and complains without bothering to move his lazy (...). Apparently you missed the attempt at avoiding needing the insult and constructive criticism as well.

2: The wiki isn't the only source of information. Best to say that you don't know that general resource point rather than assuming there isn't any. I didn't blame anybody for not posting it - neither directly or between the lines. Besides I'm actually considering opening a FAQ thread, just trying to peel out people's opinions about it.

3: Obviously the poster didnt read it by posting that question, and neither did brynet inc: "There is no need of public humiliation for someone who may have made an honest mistake"

Now, can we quit the fight? its in nobody's interest.
