Hard disk partitions

I was searching the internet, but I couldn't probably write the right phrase.
I wonder myself where is the partition info writen on the disk?

is not also the boot in the first sector?

The partition table and boot code share one sector, as a matter of fact, you can consider the partition table as the intertnal data of the Microsoft boot loader(BIOS nows nothings about the partition table).
