Nvidia hardware documentation

I guess most of you already know it, but I just discovered the project Nouveau http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/

There is a lot of information on Nvidia hardware if you plan to have a driver (or port).

What is the current state of things ?

Currently, nothing works. If you're not a developer, you're not interested in this at all.

I.e., if you are not a developer of nouveau, the project is of little interest for you because there is not enough information available to make a working driver.

From what I have read they are actively working on it.
I bet we will have something working properly by the end of the year.

However the information on this page is still interesting if you just need pointers to do a basic driver for nvidia cards (ie not 3D accelerated).
