Looking for a unique OS!!!

Post by MaVeRiCk »

Hello fellow programmers. I am currently looking for an OS with some unique qualities.

An Operating System, should actually serve as an interface between your hardware and software applications. Other utilities and tools should be stand alone apps that interact with the OS.

So the OS that I'm looking for boots to a command prompt, something like DOS. Then you should be able to run multiple applications from that prompt, simultaneously, including GUI apps.

For home users, a web interface menu can be created for browsing the contents of the system.

What I'm looking for is low resources and high performance.

So if you're working on something along these lines, or are planning on developing an OS in the near future, then I can help you market it.

Contact me if you want to get RICH Quickly...

This is really funny. I don't believe people who develop an OS are stupid enough to fall for such hoaxes.

Give the guy a break, he's probably only four years old...

Ok,
command prompts should never be booted up to anymore. GUI is the present and future. Prompts are only for sysadmins and geeks. Get use to it.

High performance will never result from low resources. That's just illogical.

All OSes are interfaces to Hardware; that's their job. If that was not so, then stand alone apps would manage their own memory and FSes.

In a since we're all working on an OS along "these lines",but most of us have the sense to know that it won't be anything too great. We don't plan on selling our OS; we code it for fun.

If money's your thing, ask Bill Gates to adopt you or go steal it. That's how all thewealthy people do it anyway, right(gov't,Kings,Microsoft,Gap,Church, etc)?

Don't bother us with electron wasting, ip packet bashing, bandwidth hogging rants and ravesa bout how your OS will be so great and no onecan stop you and how we should all join your 1 man group to make this DreamOS.

If you want to makea great OS, get the basics donethencome rant and rave about your OS. At least you'd seem more serious.

Also, if you do this again and again we will hunt you down and make sure your body makes the 5 o'clock news. I have afettish with big sharp objects and slicing body parts off.

isn´t the idea about this forum to help others? or is it just for selflearned experts? i hate to say that at almost every programming forum, 50% of the peaple on it is very rude..

yes, you're right. I am sorry, but it is hard to listen to so many ofthem say stuff like "i will be the next MS" when that isn't true. i am just trying to give a reality check. So maybe he doesn't suck :x. I consider it spam when they do that. Rude in its own way.
