I want you to know what's happening
I was looking to buy a software and was about to buy from one of those big and expensive sites, but then i dsicovered a site at spam website which sells the same software for much cheaper.
I first thought it's gonna be some kind of a demo or what, but when i ordered and got the software it was just the full functioning software, exactly the same that i was about to pay way higher!
now, can anyone tell me what a big monopoly is going on there? These big stores are selling the same software for multiply-time expensive! Is this some sort of special politic to keep the prices high? Shouldn't we all say "NO" to this kind of monopolization?
Edit by Solar: This was a "creative" way to spam our forum for once, as opposed to people dumping a dozen links without further ado. Nevertheless, I deleted the link to said "spam website". When using the internet, always rememer: There are no silver bullets, and there's no such thing as a free meal.
why is this?
Spam again
This is obviously spam. The site mentioned is laid out to get search engine hits by filling the content with BS keywords, phrases, and misspellings.
Not to mention this fits nowhere in OSdev and is ironic that this group tends to write their own software and for the most part embraces free and open-source software, and that which is not free tends to be pirated *cough* torrents *cough*.

Re:why is this?
hey guys! you all are OS lovers right ? well i found this cool operating system called WINDOWS (www.microsoft.com) you can do any thing with it, send e-mails, view text files, and is compatibe with all hardware ever made ! you cant get that with other operating systems, so why do others still use linux and other so called "free" OSes, i call them "cheap", i think it is a consperisy or some thing !
Re:Spam again
I suppose that this fix works better than deleting it. I've already had enough spam saying I don't need to pay that much for windows/office/photoshop. Guys, I really don't want windows.blip wrote: This is obviously spam. The site mentioned is laid out to get search engine hits by filling the content with BS keywords, phrases, and misspellings.
Re:why is this?
At last, inventive spam. It still doesn't rank as highly as the linked-chains though, as that was the original text-filled one and could be abused for our derivative jokes easily enough, but at least this one gives you something to read.
Re:why is this?
I figured just renaming the link to "spam website" would transform the effect to the inverse of their original intent, IE, having a good search engine rating. Nothing kicks your search engine rating down than being marked as "spam website" by most links.Pirscillap wrote: Edit by Solar: This was a "creative" way to spam our forum for once, as opposed to people dumping a dozen links without further ado. Anyway, neutral it is...
